To our endota community,
At endota, we exist to help people feel better, and that begins with ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our community. In alignment with this commitment, and in accordance with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), we are issuing a recall of three specific unexpired batches of endota Mineral Protect SPF50 Sunscreen.
Testing indicates that the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of these batches may not meet the labelled SPF50 rating. A lower than labelled SPF rating may increase the risk of sunburn during use and reduce the long-term effectiveness of sun protection.
Please stop using the affected batches immediately. For instructions on returning the product and receiving a refund please contact info@ethicalzinc.com or call 08 9249 3553.
This recall does not affect any other endota products. The recall only applies to endota Mineral Protect SPF50 Sunscreen, purchased after January 2023.
In light of recent industry developments and growing public concern around SPF efficacy, we support ongoing improvements to SPF testing protocols and governance, as stronger safeguards will benefit all Australians.

Are other endota sunscreens affected?
This decision applies only to Mineral Protect SPF50. We have placed a temporary hold on the sale of Natural Clear Zinc SPF50+ while we undertake additional independent re-testing of the formulations. Although Natural Clear Zinc uses a different formulation, we chose to pause sales as a proactive measure while further testing is completed. We’ll share updates as soon as results are available.
Can I still use the Mineral Protect SPF50 Sunscreen?
The current TGA recommendation is to not use the product and recommends seeking an alternative sunscreen.
