After her own lived experience, Stacey Jane recognised the urgent need for practical and compassionate support for those experiencing and escaping domestic or family abuse, and so begun the Escabags charity.
Escabags provides free 'Escape Bags' filled with essential items and support resources to those fleeing domestic and family abuse across Australia. These bags not only offer practical assistance during a time of crisis, but also serve as a vital first connection to safety, support services, and long-term recovery.
Since 2020, Stacey has grown Escabags into a national movement, with over 2,000 establishments across Australia stocking and distributing free 'Escape Bags' to those in need.

what is an 'escape bag'?
An 'Escape Bag' is a free of charge and thoughtfully handmade tote bag that is filled with essential and comfort items that individuals and their children may need when leaving a dangerous or abusive situation.
Escabags are non-gendered and available in two variations – ‘Parent and Child’ and ‘Single Adult’ – ensuring there is support available to all survivors of abuse.
