Simple Steps to Mastering Mindfulness

Kym Eliopoulos, Founder and Owner of Crystal Lab, reveals how mindfulness can materialise our thoughts and help us achieve our goals.


As individuals, we all have a unique and special energy that drives us, defines us and helps shape the life we create. By consciously focusing on our energy we can move our lives in a direction that serves our dreams and desires, moulds our reality and sees our thoughts materialise.

As Kym Eliopoulos explains, “the thoughts we think and the words we speak are essentially where we focus our attention. And where we focus our attention on sets our intention”. Our intention is what we subconsciously project ourselves towards, which is why it’s important to be mindful of what we think, say, and do. Kym emphasises that “if you are speaking negative words, the energy you project will be negative, and this can form your intention without you even realising. The more we practice being aware of our thoughts and words, the more we become conscious of them and start to notice what we put out there can connect to what we receive”.

Being mindful and the practice of manifesting our goals, is not a one-size-fits-all activity and although individual methods may differ the principle remains the same – what you put out, consciously or subconsciously, is what you will receive. Mindfulness is a very personal journey – for some people, it is consciously setting their intention when they first wake up every morning, while others prefer to incorporate it into their meditation or even use physical reminders to remain mindful throughout the day.

When introducing mindful practices to shift your energy and achieve your goals, Kym suggests trialling different methods to see what works for you. It could be as simple as placing some crystals around your home or workplace to act as physical reminders or transforming ordinary everyday tasks into your own personal rituals. As an example, she cites the familiar daily scenario of applying skincare, saying “I like to drop a rose quartz into warm water when I wash my face, and then take the time to massage my skincare onto my face, taking 5 minutes for myself to be present and aware of my thoughts, rather than just slapping it on my skin as just another part of my day”.
