The stainless steel gua sha can be used as part of a lymphatic drainage massage all over your body. The massaging motion helps to move fluid from outside of the cells to the lymphatic system, where it is taken to the organs to be processed and removed from the body. In this way, lymphatic drainage massage helps to gently cleanse, temporarily promote circulation and gives your skin a balanced looking complexion.Â
If you’ve ever seen a professional therapist for a lymphatic massage, you may have felt the soothing, gentle-yet-firm strokes of a gua sha on your body. It’s a tool that’s been used for thousands of years as part of lymphatic drainage massage, instead of just using the hands.Â

Lymphatic drainage massage helps to gently move fluid, which contains waste products, from outside of the cells to the lymphatic system, where lymph fluid takes it to the organs to be processed and removed from the body. This works to gently cleanse the body, while temporarily promoting circulation and reducing the appearance of puffiness. This form of massage is also thought to boost your qi – or vital energy. Pair your Gua Sha Body Tool with lymphatic massage movements after applying body lotion, oil or serum for a soft, glowing and balanced appearance.Â
the ritual
Neck: Using an endota body oil, slide the gua sha from the top of your neck to the edge of your shoulder (repeat 3 times).Â
Arms: Using an endota body oil, slide the gua sha upwards from your wrist, using gentle but firm pressure (repeat 3 times).Â
Back: Using an endota body oil, slide the gua sha downwards on each side of your back, repeating 3 times.Â
Legs: Using an endota body oil, slide the gua sha up from your ankle to the top of your thigh, on both the front and back of your leg (repeat 3 times).Â
Remember to clean your gua sha after use by washing it with warm, soapy water, rinsing and then drying with a clean cloth before returning it to its cotton pouch.Â
